Review: Sometimes, a good horror movie needs is a good idea. But sometimes, though rarely, a horror masterpiece will come to us in the hands of Kubrick, skilled, difficult to control the touch of a great artist's vision, and we know what separates it from all else.Okai, the story is enough to promise that even a murderer would I had to try and fail. Hell, even Stephen King himself has not gone bad. The way Kubrick sees Kings of the universe, however, that the full framework that makes SHINING glory senses.Horror, which reaches us through the mind and body as the heavier assault, T end of the pitch to a crescendo, but surprisingly, not without a delicate lull.Kubricks film is, as usual, a scene. For the more adventurous we get a camera lurking through the lavish corridors Overlook Hotel is a kind of mystical maze filled to the brim research, linear tracking shots expose impeccably decorated interior symmetric shine. Geometric approach to understand how Kubrick space reminds me very much of Japan's leaders in about 10 years. It is described in the framework, the elements of the narrative, the border is irrelevant as all balance and harmonize together.Certain images stand out here. The first shot Jacks typewriter, with ominous off-screen thumps a solid, the drums of doom that seem to come from a well-typed on the walls or the equipment itself Doom itself is presented later. Red River flows through the Hotel lifts Poetry slow motion. Jack the ax hitting the door, the camera moves along with him, Follow-up action as it happens, as if the camera body piercing through the door with an ax. Very fast zoom children confront us violently thrusting in his head, before we see the two dead girls in his POV. And, of course, a revolutionary bathroom scene.Much said, Jack Nicholsons disturbing overacting. Its crazy is not entirely successful, because, well, hes Jack Nicholson. The guy looks like a half-crazy anyway. Play angry he turns into exaggerated caricature of himself. Shelley Duval, on the other hand is one of the inspired casting choices Kubrick ever made. Coming down the fantastic performance by Robert Altman (3 women, thieves, such as the United States, Nashville), she makes her character the right amount svanlike fragility and anxiety. Sensitive, with a separate lawsuit thrown crazy.
