Review: I cant wait for new Red Dawn to come out on video. Okay, maybe I'll wait for it to hit Netflix. Either way it's going to make a great drinking game. Rule one? Every time you see or hear the overused clich? War or knocking a drink. You soused 15-minute film. On the up side, the rest of the film is likely to be better that way.One my friends saw the film with me it summed up nicely. OMG, it really is a remake. Until we actually started watching the film was holding out hope that they make a movie again and oh so much trouble fixed first original had.The Red These Red They had their place. I remember looking back when it came out. It was the hottest young actors of the day. Her problem was cast, all of them good players, especially when successful career long. I suspect many of the actors from the film will do the same. (ID tells you who was in it, but I doubt they are already hoping that people forget that they were involved.) The problem was even a concept. Everyone loves an underdog story and there is nothing more at home than a bunch of high school students are trying to fight back against great odds. They could have handled the concept, to be generous and just say, much better. To their credit the writers do not try to fill in some plot holes remake.They setting moved from an agricultural town in Colorado to Spokane, which at least has a decommissioned air and missile silos strategic site that can make one if someone attacks USA. They also indicated that children were not trying to beat the strikers, but act like a rebel making trouble where could.The new film offers training montage nice and blasts of very high quality. Unfortunately the dialogue is just as painful to hear as it was in the first film. Too bad they did not spend a little less on pyrotechnics and a little more on the script, but hey, it does have many things to play up.BANG! POW! Blast! And do not forget to drink, because someone is probably saying something vulgar. ;)
