Review: You can hear comparisons with Tarantino, but leave all your troubles at the door, it is absorbed and extremely unique piece of cinema from Danish director Nicolas Refn Vindinh. Why it works surprisingly well because the film grabs you and take you inside this often dark and dream like setting of Los Angeles. So when the movie comes to an end, you feel, except in this film is stay. This film also features Ryan Gosling as you've never seen him, speaking only when necessary, tension and anger in his eyes. Hes quiet, caring, funny and tough. Every line is delivered perfectly and every gesture natural.I seen the LA Film Festival mammoth screen with booming speakers. Music just makes this film more unique. It is catchy and synchronized perfectly with a really good movie cinematography. This the best in its genre. I honestly can not compare it to other films, it's really that different. Disc is better because they are positive no other film will haunt and invade me quite like this movie. This is not only because of its genre classic, but beautiful and bold classic in general.
